PhD in Medical Research (University of Oviedo). Master’s Degree in Health Sciences Research Design and Analysis, and Master’s Degree in Applied Statistics and Statistics for the Public Sector. Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (Statistics). She has been working in the last 20 years as health sciences researcher and for the past 10 years as a university lecturer (Associate Professor since 2021 in the area of Preventive Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Medicine at the University of Oviedo). She is the team leader of the Health and Environment (Salud y Medio Ambiente (SALMA)) consolidated group of the University of Oviedo, and the Lifestyle, environment and health (Estilo de vida, entorno y salud (EVENSA)) group from the Principality of Asturias Oncology Institute. She has extensive research experience in analysing factors (environmental and lifestyle) that impact human health. She has published more than 140 JCR manuscripts and presented more than 130 communications to congresses all of this mainly in the research areas of Environmental Epidemiology and Air Quality and Health.
