Hannah von Reding is a social scientist with a BSc in Development Studies and a MSc in Global Health. She works as a project coordinator in the research group “Global Disaster Medicine – Health needs and response” at the Department of Global Public Health at Karolinska Institutet. In the research group, she works with different education and policy projects in a coordinating role.
Since 2021 she has assisted the programme director with the planning and coordinating of the courses under the KI track, as well as overseeing student experience. She is also managing the research group’s role as advisory body to the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen). Within this, she writes external monitoring reports and research overviews on the topic of global disaster medicine. She also works with IPA Care, an EU capacity-building project to prevent the risk of earthquakes and health emergencies in the Western Balkans and Turkey. Before coming to KI, she has worked with matters related to global development at non-governmental organisations.
